All Credit Card transactions are processed immediately via Windcave (Formerly Payment Express). The payment page is secured with 128 bit encryption. The card details you enter are safe because they are not stored or cached by Appliance Outlet Ltd - but are entered into a secure database at our payment gateway.
Payment for Internet banking/Direct deposit orders must be made within 5 working days. If payment is not made within this time the order will be cancelled and will need to be placed again.
We also perform random security checks on orders. This is to protect ourselves and our customers. Our merchant bank charges us a 1% fee to provide credit card processing services to customers, this fee is passed onto customers by way of a surcharge.
All orders are subject to our verification procedures. If we are unable to verify your details, we will notify you and will need further information to process the order.
We may request documents to verify your identity, if you feel uncomfortable supplying the documents requested, we advise that you choose direct deposit as your method of payment.
These procedures are performed to counter a rapidly increasing number of fraudulent orders. This is done to protect your security as well as our own.
Please do not be offended if we ask for photo ID with cards that required a signature. This is a procedure we have introduced to protect ourselves and our customers from fraud.
All cards must be present for transactions, under no circumstances will we process a transaction without the card present.
We do not accept cheques. Paypal service fees apply.
BNPL payment options vary from provider, you will need to download their app to your smartphone to use their services. Options we are able to provide at this time are Humm, Afterpay, Zip and Laybuy.
As there is a cost associated in providing this service and due to our low profit margins this fee is passed onto our customers to allow us to keep our prices low for you.
All layby items are interest free and there is no penalty for early repayment.
A 20% deposit is required and can be retained if final payment is not met within the time specified/at all. This is to cover the cost of administrating the layby service, restocking and depreciation of value of goods.
Final payment must be made within 6 weeks of the order date. Layby value must be $100 or over.
Instructions to purchase online using Layby:
Purchase your item and select 'Direct Deposit' as your method of payment. Please contact [email protected] - we will work out your deposit for you should you not have done so already. Your deposit of 20% of the total purchase price will secure your item for you. This payment must be made and received within two days of purchase, if these are not received the order will be cancelled. Payments for online layby items must be completed within 6 weeks from the date of purchase. You will only be invoiced once final payment has been received and the item will automatically be sent out to you via our courier or freight service.
Please use your invoice number for each payment so that we are able to track it and place the payments against your outstanding amount - we will accept payments via credit card and online banking.
We will email you at 4 weeks and at 6 weeks with the outstanding amounts on your account to serve as a reminder so that you do not lose out on your item or forget to pay.
No penalty for early completion of your term.
If you fail to make payments and/ or do not finalise your layby by the end of the lay by term (6 weeks) we have the right to keep your deposit (20% of the full price of the item/s), for administration, cancellation fees and to cover loss of the value of the goods. You will lose the right to your item/s and they will be resold.
You may cancel your layby at any time by contacting the store or by email / in writing. A full statement of your layby payments will be provided on request.
If you have made payments on top of your deposit these will be refunded to you.
All items remain the property of Appliance Outlet limited until full payment has been received.
All non faulty returns attract a 20% restocking fee. We do not have to refund in the event of change of mind purchases. Please choose carefully as there is no automatic right of return or refund. We reserve the right to exchange or offer store credit when applicable, we do not have to refund automatically and any decisions will be at the managements discretion. Appliance Outlet operates fully under the CGA and New Zealand law.
